Have you read The Kite Runner? I just read it and really enjoyed it. Pretty engrossing fiction. I recommend it. The book follows the story of a man growing up in Afghanistan in the 1970's, and the twists and turns his life takes through the following decades.
I checked the author's web site to see if he has anything else in the works, and I see that he and I were born in the same year. He's a physician and has written a best-selling novel. Underachiever, huh? This is his first novel, and I don't see news of anything else in the works...
