Catching my breath

I've heard it said that when you become a parent, you get to watch your heart run around outside your body forever. I've experienced this sensation again and again -- with the first steps, the first day of preschool, and lots of other firsts.

This weekend's "first" literally took my breath away. Repeatedly.

It was the first weekend on a two-wheeler. With training wheels of course.

TwowheelerA great time was had by all. Up and down our street, 2,486 times. Around the neighborhood, on and off sidewalks. All three of us on bikes.

WOW!

It's like it's a whole new world, yet again.

That brings back memories for me! Congrats on the big step forward for the little guy (and you and all of that breath holding!) :-)

awesome! What great fun, all of you on bikes! He's getting so big so fast!

Great photo Marie. Very sweet indeed.

Our Monet loves her bike (with training wheels too) and think she is it and a bit when out riding...
