I've heard it said that when you become a parent, you get to watch your heart run around outside your body forever. I've experienced this sensation again and again -- with the first steps, the first day of preschool, and lots of other firsts.
This weekend's "first" literally took my breath away. Repeatedly.
It was the first weekend on a two-wheeler. With training wheels of course.
A great time was had by all. Up and down our street, 2,486 times. Around the neighborhood, on and off sidewalks. All three of us on bikes.
WOW!
It's like it's a whole new world, yet again.
That brings back memories for me! Congrats on the big step forward for the little guy (and you and all of that breath holding!) :-)
