I love the glass doorknobs in my old house. Except when they fall off.
Well, one doorknob in particular falls off regularly -- it's the doorknob to our den, off the dining room, where we keep our computer. When the doorknob fixture falls apart, it's in two pieces: one glass knob with a metal teethy arm, and one glass knob all by its lonesome. We can latch and unlatch the door with the part of the fixture that has the teethy arm attached to it.
This morning I was "locked" in the den with the computer; the doorknob fixture had fallen out.
While I was locked in the den, my son was having a meltdown in the dining room. Hubby was there with him, but I was certain that he needed to be consoled by his mother. Because no one can console like a mother, right?
RIGHT?
So I shout through the doorknob hole: "LET ME OUT!!! OPEN THE DOOR!!!" as any crazed woman would do.
Hubby calmly informs me that the doorknob is in the room with me, on the table.
"Oh..."

God bless all you men who live with the PMS-ing.
Now will someone please pass the damn chocolate?

LOLOLOL
Sending chocolate now. :)

I hear ya on those doorknobs. They're so pretty, but a total you-know-what when they fall off. Poor you for getting locked in there!

Thank you Tammy! Yum.
Kristi, well I got myself out. The doorknob was right there next to me...

*cheeky smile* Great post. And yes, sometimes one can only be consoled by mum.

The teethy thing isn't quite long enough. :| We need to get another one. That's why the thing keeps falling apart. Check your local garage sale. ; )

ROTFL! Good thing we don't live together this week. My hubby called last night and asked if the children were still alive. ;-)

LOL!! Marie, you are a riot. I'm PMSing, too. Do you think women friends who blog together too much end up all synched up like in real life? Hrm.
