When I told my advisor in college that I was interested in math and writing, he practically laughed in my face. Nice, huh?  I majored in math and took a lot of writing courses. According to the test, I shoulda been an English major. Yeah, I knew that at the time, but said, "I don't want to teach school!" so I didn't do it. I went into Social Sciences (Family Life) instead. Look where it got me. :)

The truth? I was a communications major at first, because I wanted to be a broadcast or print journalist. I took my first psychology class and switched majors. I graduated with a BS in Psychology with a minor in Biology. Then I got my MA in Community Counseling.

Not that you wanted a thesis, but I think this is pretty true! LOL!
