We recently mailed our 10-year old nephew a gift for his birthday. Our nephews are into building
things, so we usually send something Lego-y. This time, I selected an erector set.
Yesterday we received the following thank you note:
Dear Ant Marie, Umple C and [little guy] (with a drawing of an ant over Ant)
Thank you for the erector set. It is cool.
[Nephew.]
P.S. How are you doing?
P.P.S. Is [little guy] saying any words?
P.P.P.S. Can you mostly give me erector sets?

wow! you've got a fan there! now you gotta start researching for other erector sets - lol!
michele sent me today. :)

What a wonderful letter! It is straight from the heart of your nephew. Save this and show it to him in about 10 years :-)

Erector sets are the coolest. My son has one, it's really quite amazing. Your little guy will probably appreciate them one day too. Doesn't it make you feel good to pick out the perfect gift?

awesome! Loved the note. Me thinks you struck just the right note. And the nice thing about erector sets is that, like Legos, you can give them over and over again.

Awww.. that's cute. So few kids even write thank you notes nowadays, so I think your nephew is very sweet and very polite and well-mannered. He obviosly loved your gift. Nice pic!

Ohhh.. I'll have to remember that one. I also use to love tinker toys... wonder if they are still around?

I grew up on Tinker toys, erector sets, Lincoln logs, anad legos...good stuff. I've been in construction for the last 20 years.

I love Leggos, erestor sets and Lincoln Logs. I can't wait til the Cutie Patootie is old enough. When I was in NY on Wed., I went to the 3 story-including ferris wheel-Toys R Us. A woman asked an employee for Tinker Toys.He had no idea if they sold them. I hope so. I liked them as well.
