2. We celebrated my hubby's birthday yesterday. Our little guy was completely intrigued by the whole cake and candle thing. He ran around afterward saying Happy! Happy! Happy! and blowing out imaginary candles. That was probably my hubby's best present. 3. We're doing a free 2-week trial of NetFlix. I can see how this would be incredibly handy during the winter. No need to leave home to pick up or return a movie when it's below freezing outside. I'm liking this concept! Has anyone seen any good new releases on DVD? 4. I love being able to track packages online. Except, why does my Amazon order say that it shipped on 12/3, is in PA now, but the expected delivery date is 12/23? And I'm in NY. Huh? Why? Dude, where's my package?! 5. I'm amazed at the number of hits this post from the other day is getting. There are a lot of pervs out there. 6. This may not be the best place to reveal this, but I am trackback-challenged. I paste the address to trackback to in Typepad's Send a TrackBack box, but then nothing seems to happen on the other end. Before I write to the Typepad people, and they laugh at me (again) -- are there any Typepad users out there who can give me any pointers on this? 7. We went to see a huge model train display last weekend at a garden center (look - they have a webcam!). I don't know who was more thrilled -- father or son! All I know is that we have about 20 minutes of video footage from the experience, and they're both still enjoying it. 8. Santa was at the garden center, too. I thought about waiting in line for a photo, but it was my little guy's nap time. I don't think he'd have been game for a seat & photo shoot on a stranger's lap at that point. I got a kick out of watching the kids waiting in line -- including one girl, age 8 or so, who had a thick catalog firmly in-hand. I think she had every other page dog-eared, and she was positively beaming! 9. Check this out! A gift-buying guide for book lovers... who cool is this? And there's a video too... I think my son needs the new Little Engine That Could book. 10. I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping. I'm waiting to hear what one nephew would like. (Ahem! Sis, if you're reading this... hint, hint!) I didn't choose a holiday-ish template for this post though, because... 11. We don't have a tree up yet -- I'd be happy to use my artificial table-top tree this year, but hubby wants a big ol' real tree. Our little guy will be all over it, whichever we choose. That's why I'd go fake and small this year, even though I prefer a real tree. 12. I don't have just the right Christmas photo yet. I need to hustle on that so that I can do cards. 13. I have a heaping basket of teas. I'm into my cinnamon plum tea lately. Yum yum yum. Links to other Thursday Thirteens! 1. Leanne (mother of the Thursday Thirteen) 2. MommaK 3. Raehan 4. Marisa 5. 12/7 is my birthday, and also my Grandfather's birthday. He said I was his best birthday present that year! ...hasn't said it since... ;)

Trains? If we ever get our 'boys' together, all we'll have to do is set up the trains and go relax. ;-)

Ok, I've decided that everyone needs to email me on Wednesday and tell me to learn how to Thursday Thirteen. I only see it on Fridays. Help me, Marie, help me!
I don't know much about typepad, so I'm probably not much help with trackbacks. That's my one gripe with WordPress...sometimes trackbacks work, sometimes they don't. Makes me crazy!
