To the small person in our home who was awake at the ungodly hour of 4:00 a.m....
What were you doing in there? You do realize that when it's dark out, you're supposed to sleep, right? Are you working on your new Crib Calisthenics video?
We're trying to figure out exactly what it is you do in there. Is it some sort of Jane Fonda Workout for Toddlers? Tae Bo? Or were you just practicing the somersaulting techniques your father has been teaching you?
We're glad you're happy while you do whatever it is you're doing in there. We're just wondering if perhaps you could conduct your practice sessions at a different hour. Preferrably sometime when your parents are awake -- say, when you take your afternoon nap?
With love,
Your caffeinated parents.... Zzzzzzzzzz

I bet she slept in, too. Don't you love that. Keeping you up all night and then sleeping in peacefully the next day.

He slept about an hour longer than usual... but dang, I couldn't get back to sleep!

Not fair! I hope you get more sleep soon. If we could bottle kid energy, we'd be rich, I tell ya, rich!

Oh, I'm sure he was just having a BLAST. He probably wondered why you weren't joining in!

But, as any small person will tell you - 4am is an excellent time for cardio-vascular exercise (if they could *say* cardio-vascular!).
And, of course, if they are up then mummy and daddy should be too! :-)
