1. I'm starting this in the late afternoon on Wednesday -- this is not my best time of day. I'm definitely a morning person. Let's see if I can come up with 13 things! 2. I watched the documentary Spellbound over the weekend. Very interesting! Have you seen it? I recommend it. 3. My hubby and I watched Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason last night. I liked it more than I thought I would. I really liked the first one & didn't expect to like the sequel as much. It was cute though, & we had plenty of laughs. 4. We bought 2 pumpkins yesterday. Both are bigger than tomatoes, and we're hoping that that keeps our son from biting into them. He tried to bite into our neighbor's tiny pumpkins, just like he does with tomatoes after we pick them from the garden. Really, we do feed him! 5. We went out to eat this week and actually brought the right combination of toys, books and food to properly distract the little one. There were no real outbursts til the end of the meal. I got up to look at the dessert display, and heard "MOMMY!" shouted from the other end of the restaurant. When my husband got up to pay the bill, there was also a loud yell for "DADDY!!!" 6. We got dessert to go, if you're curious. I had apple pie. It was heavenly. 7. That probably explains why I'm sitting here with my pants unzipped. (TMI, sorry...) Well, that plus the fact that I've been having a hard time saying no to sweets in general lately. 8. A friend gave me a pile of hand-me-down clothes for my son this week. They're beautiful! 9. I've put together Halloween goodie bags for her 2 boys as a thank you -- coloring books, crayons, stickers, markers, Matchbox cars, whoopie cushion, plastic bugs, animal crackers, Batman band-aids, a little candy,.... I can't wait for the boys to open them! I absolutely love assembling care-package type gifts. 10. We're getting our wood stove ready for the season here. OK, by "we" I mean my husband is doing this. He's stripped paint off it & is going to repaint it. He's been splitting a lot of wood too. He has this cool gizmo for splitting wood -- you attach it to the wheel of a truck, and it spins and splits the wood. It's really neat. We found it on the curb -- someone threw it out. These gizmos go for about $200 new. Imagine just throwing one away? 11. I have heaps of baby clothes to package up & store in the attic. I'm procrastinating doing this because I get sad looking at the clothes that no longer fit my little guy, since it's likely that I'm putting them away forever. 12. I'm still contemplating doing an audio blog. I have a few ideas and have found my microphone. Maybe over the weekend --that could be a fun weekend thing to do. 13. I'm going to be cooking Thanksgiving dinner at my house this year. I need suggestions for ways to cook the perfect turkey. Last time, I overcooked it, which I didn't think was possible in a cooking bag. Dry turkey is a bummer, though the gravy helps. I want to cook a yummy moist turkey this year. Are you gonna carve those pumpkins? Yeah? As long as your little one doesn't eat them? ;)
Thanks for joining in on the Thirteen!

The thing that stood out for me was your mention of storing the tiny baby clothes in the attic.
Marie, you are such a wonderful Mommy - I am really pulling for those clothes to be there for only a short time before at least some of them are needed again.
