100 things about me
- I turned 40 in September 2005
- I can’t believe it – seems like 30 was yesterday.
- I’ve been married since 2002.
- We met on a blind date.
- I’ve been on more blind dates than I care to remember!
- My husband is a sensitive, loving, and handy guy.
- We have a sweet baby boy who was born in March 2004.
- I love being a mom.
- I was a very creative child.
- I played with Barbies all the time.
- My aunt was concerned when I wanted a "man doll" (Ken).
- My aunt was a nun.
- Molded plastic does nothing for me, really.
- The only thing I wanted for my 5th birthday was a Mrs. Beasley doll.
- I got one and still have her.
- I was an early bloomer.
- I towered over my friends and cousins when I was 11 years old.
- I’m 5’6".
- I love the ocean.
- I love to swim.
- We went camping every summer when I was a kid.
- We always went to the Jersey shore (Ocean City, Sea Isle City).
- I love riding bikes on the boardwalk.
- I’ve traveled to most of the lower 48 states in the US.
- I was too young to remember much of it.
- I’ve seen some great slides with me in them though!
- I’ve lived in NY state my whole life.
- I traveled to Europe in 1990 with my sister.
- We chiseled at the Berlin wall.
- We walked around in East Berlin (cool, but spooky).
- We heard & saw Roger Waters of Pink Floyd rehearsing for The Wall at The Wall concert.
- I’m the middle of 3 girls.
- Neither of my sisters lives in my city, and I wish they did!
- I’m aunt to 5 sweetie-pies.
- I have naturally curly hair.
- I hated that as a kid.
- I like it now.
- But I don’t like the gray that’s creeping in.
- I sometimes highlight to hide the gray.
- My husband hates that I have chemicals put on my head.
- I’m a Virgo and seem to fit the profile.
- I majored in math in college.
- I’ve always enjoyed writing, too.
- I’ve written many thrilling technical training manuals.
- OK, they’re probably not exactly page-turners.
- Since I started blogging, I've been reading a lot more books than I used to.
- A favorite book was Wally Lamb’s I Know This Much Is True.
- I love reference books.
- I love maps.
- As kids we’d fight over who got to hold the map while we were traveling.
- Yes, I guess I’m kind of a geek.
- I’ve never had a pet of any kind.
- I know that people get attached to their pets, but I’ve never experienced that.
- I don’t enjoy shopping malls much any more.
- I prefer stand-alone shopping centers, where I can get in & out quickly.
- After baby-sitting, my first high school job was working at Arthur Treacher’s Fish & Chips.
- I went home smelling like peanut oil every night.
- My husband wants to have a car that runs on peanut oil.
- If he knew me as a teenager, I probably could have gotten him a lifetime supply of used peanut oil.
- I worked as a disc jockey when I was in college.
- I dj-ed at a bar that contained a replica of half a boat.
- My college roomie and I won best roommates award and "most interesting room" award.
- I wasn’t allowed to go to parties as a teenager, but I was allowed to go to concerts.
- I went to a LOT of concerts when I was in high school.
- Apparently my parents didn’t know what people do at concerts.
- I was a good kid… though I did have to inhale and exhale while I was at the concerts.
- My friends and I waited for hours to meet Jackson Browne after a show.
- We got his autograph – boy was he shorter than I thought he’d be.
- I’ve always been very into music – listening, playing (clarinet), singing.
- I LOVE the music of Alison Krauss & Union Station (bluegrass).
- I like country music too. (Don’t laugh at me!)
- My father was a school principal when I was growing up.
- Thankfully we didn’t go to his school.
- We got to play in the gymatorium at his school sometimes though.
- I’m a chocolate fiend.
- My favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip.
- Especially when it’s covered with hot fudge sauce.
- As kids, my sisters and I spoke French around the house to irritate our parents.
- They didn’t understand what we were saying.
- Mostly, we were just reciting textbook dialogs.
- Yeah, we were such rebels.
- I love Indian food.
- The first time I tried it, I didn’t enjoy it; though I enjoyed the tea since it tasted like Froot Loop milk.
- I love doing anything outdoors, even yardwork.
- OK, maybe not anything. I’m not into competitive sports.
- I suck at team sports; you wouldn’t want me on your team – trust me!
- I tried soccer and softball as a kid; they tried to keep me where the ball was least likely to go.
- I enjoy hiking and riding my bike though.
- I was raised Catholic but haven’t been a practicing Catholic in many years.
- I’d like to find a church for my family to attend now though.
- I’m as Irish as they come.
- So yes, I like beer… but not too excess.
- I prefer wine these days though.
- I’ve always been registered as an independent voter.
- I leaned Left before 9/11… no longer though.
- I drove my last car for 13 years.
- Now I drive a sporty family-mobile with 4-wheel drive. It rocks.
- I don’t see much of anything without my glasses/contacts.
- I have a large collection of cookbooks.
- I have completed a "100 things about me" list!

Exelent.... when un " avarage " human beeing is so deep in expression its ( hers his ) inner self, and finds so many small details, which make us like we are...jolly good job, specialy because I havwe a feeling it was your free e`xpression, without trying to impress anybody- it was just YOU.
